A project shaped through time spent with Marlene as she leaves her home, reducing a lifetime of belongings, and transitioning into a different way of living.
This project began in 2023 after meeting Marlene (aka Classy) while purchasing a vintage hi-fi she was selling online. What began as a brief visit extended into several hours of conversation, and later into an ongoing photographic engagement.
Following the recent death of her husband and the sale of the land beneath her home, Classy began preparing to move into a motorhome — a long-held plan shared between them — selling and dispersing a lifetime of possessions.
The photographs observe this period of transition through domestic spaces, objects, and gestures, forming a quiet record of change, attachment, and adaptation.
The work continues to develop over time, following Classy as her circumstances shift and new forms of living take shape.
