A moving-image project examining how meaning and behaviour are shaped through mediated experience.
The work examines how meaning is constructed and absorbed through digital signs rather than direct experience. Moving imagery and a looping, hypnotic audio track create an immersive environment shaped by repetition, emotional cues, and symbolic media.
These signals often communicate urgency or relevance independent of truth, reflecting a state of hyperreality where mediated symbols become more immediate than lived experience.
Created during a period when I did not yet have the language to articulate what I was experiencing, this work represents a subconscious response to life inside a hyperreal system. It was not conceived as critique, but as lived expression.
The installation was fully constructed, filmed, and edited by me, including sound design and captured footage. Thank you Lara for being involved.
